The
Fortec Group, headquartered in Germering near Munich, operates globally
through seven subsidiaries in five countries. This strategic presence
allows us to provide high-quality consultation and efficient on-site
services to our valued customers.
The
group turnover is over circa 95 million Euros. This allows us to have
the strength of a broadline, but the flexibility and expertise of a
specialist.
We
have a full Research & Development department developing new
products in Germany and Egypt, and an engineering team with four
different production facilities.
At
these locations we are able to add value to TFT’s whether it’s by
simply adding a touch screen, to building a complete finished monitor.
Most importantly it gives us the ability to pool our stock and gives us
access to a huge amount of global stock.
It
also allows us to increase our quantities from a supplier by building
relationships and enjoying lower pricing through purchase power.

FORTEC Switzerland AG (formerly ALTRAC AG) is one of the first specialized electronics importers, active since 1979 as a distributor of standard solutions for power supplies (AC/DC and DC/DC converters ranging from 0.25W to 1 megawatt), displays (LCD & TFT), and embedded systems.
In addition, FORTEC Switzerland AG also offers custom products and in-house developed systems. With a deep understanding of standards and technical requirements in fields such as medical, industrial, test & measurement, MIL, space, transport, railway, coffee machines, and POS systems, we provide engineers with comprehensive design-in expertise.
This significantly reduces time-to-market for our customers and, by selecting the right products, ensures long-term cost savings.

UNSERE GESCHICHTE
1979 | gegründet wurde ALTRAC AG durch Herr A.T. Wildhaber und Herr E.D. Schneeberger
1991 | ALTRAC AG wird von der Firma Schaffner EMV AG aquiriert und firmiert neu unter dem Namen Schaffner Altrac AG.
1996 | Erhalt der ISO 9001 Zertifizierung
2000 | Schaffner Altrac AG wird an die deutsche Gruppe FORTEC Elektronik in Landsberg verkauft und agiert wieder unter dem Namen ALTRAC AG
2003 | ALTRAC AG erhält die Distributionsrechte der deutschen Firma Rotec Technology für "High grade industrial PC for embedded applications"
2004 | ALTRAC AG erhält die Distributionsrechte von NEC, einer der grössten japanischen Hersteller von LCD-Displays und von Kontron AG in Hamburg für Embedded Produkte.
2015 | ALTRAC AG zieht um von Dietikon (ZH) nach Würenlos (AG)
2016 | ALTRAC AG wird erfolgreich auditiert und erhält das up-grade zum Zertifikat ISO9001:2015
2024 | ALTRAC AG wird zu FORTEC Switzerland AG umfirmiert, um die globale Markenpräsenz der FORTEC Gruppe zu stärken.
