EDAC POWER Launches EUM114A Series – 140W Medical/ITE GaN USB-C PD 3.1 Charger for Critical Applications

Following the success of the EUM106AXR (65W) and EUM110A (110W) medical-grade GaN PD chargers in early 2024, EDAC POWER proudly introduces the new EUM114A Series, a 140W Gallium Nitride (GaN) USB-C PD 3.1 charger engineered for high-performance medical and industrial applications (ITE).

The EUM114A Series is fully compliant with the latest USB Power Delivery (PD) 3.1 and Qualcomm Quick Charge (QC) 4.0+ standards, providing fast and efficient charging for a broad range of devices, from laptops and smartphones to critical medical equipment. The optimized charging process helps reduce charge times while promoting the longevity of connected devices.

With a maximum power output of 140W and a wide range of selectable output voltages (5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, 20V, 28V), the EUM114A Series is ideal for powering vital medical devices such as portable ventilators, infusion pumps, patient monitors, and portable medical analyzers. Its reliable power delivery helps minimize operational downtime in sensitive medical environments.

Built for dual-purpose use in medical and ITE applications, the charger complies with both IEC/EN60601-1 and IEC/EN62368-1 safety standards, offering 2 x MOPP (Means of Patient Protection) to ensure the highest level of electrical safety for both patients and operators. Its rugged, reinforced design withstands elevated voltages, delivering stable power while minimizing the risk of electric shock.

The EUM114A includes multiple built-in protection features, such as short-circuit, over-voltage, and over-current protection, with optional over-temperature protection for high-demand environments. Despite its robust capabilities, the charger remains lightweight and compact, measuring just 137 x 59 x 34 mm and weighing only 500 g, making it easy to install or transport. Additionally, it supports various AC inlet options (C14, C8, C6, C18) for greater flexibility across different applications.
