The new EDAC EPM118A Series addresses exactly this challenge. It delivers up to 300W forced air power in a compact open-frame design, while meeting both medical and ICT safety standards.

More Power In The Same 4" x 2" Architecture 

Building on EDAC’s established 4" x 2" platform, the EPM118A Series significantly increases power density without increasing mechanical dimensions. 

Compared to the previous EPM1153 series (150W convection / 200W forced air), the new generation provides: 

  • 180W with convection cooling 
  • 300W with forced air 
  • Up to 450W peak load for 3 seconds 
  • 150% peak load capability (3 seconds) 

All within the same industry-standard footprint and a low-profile height of only 25.4 mm. 

This makes the EPM118A ideal for space-constrained embedded systems and compact medical equipment.
