Braille Monitor – Tactile Display Innovation for a More Inclusive Digital World

As digital accessibility laws such as the German Accessibility Strengthening Act and the European Accessibility Act come into effect in 2025, demand is growing for inclusive technologies that go beyond visual interfaces. Together with our sister company FORTEC Integrated, FORTEC Switzerland introduces a forward-looking solution: a tactile Braille monitor that allows real-time interaction with digital content through touch.

Equipped with 2,400 dynamic pins and a dedicated Braille line, the device renders both text and complex graphics like maps and diagrams into tactile form. With the help of AI-powered analysis, visual content is automatically translated into touch-ready graphics – which users can zoom, pan, or rotate directly.

Key Features

  • 2400 dynamic pins for tactile graphic representation
  • Integrated Braille line for text output
  • AI-driven visual-to-tactile conversion
  • USB-C and Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0
  • Screen reader support incl. Apple VoiceOver via AxBrailleMap API
  • Plug-and-play integration with PCs, tablets, and mobile devices

Designed for:

  • Inclusive education
  • Accessible work environments
  • Public services and digital interaction
  • OEM integration (custom matrix formats available)

FORTEC Switzerland offers this solution in collaboration with FORTEC Integrated, making true tactile interaction with digital data a reality.
