Efficiency That Reduces System Thermal Load 

At 94% efficiency, the DDP400 converts a very high proportion of input power into usable DC output, with correspondingly low heat generation at the power supply itself. This directly reduces the thermal burden on the host system enclosure, allowing designers to achieve target operating temperatures with less airflow - or in some cases, to transition from a forced-air design to a convection-cooled approach entirely. 

The integrated 12 V fan output is a practical detail that simplifies system design: rather than requiring a separate auxiliary rail or dedicated fan controller supply, the fan can be powered directly from the DDP400's integrated output, reducing component count and wiring complexity within the enclosure. 

The logic-controlled disable function and sub-0.5 W standby consumption together support system-level energy management and compliance with energy efficiency standards including Energy Star, where applicable.
