Inission Power LPD300 - 300 W Semi-Potted AC/DC Power Supply
High Power Density in a 1-Inch Low-Profile Package with Conduction Cooling Support
As system designs become more compact and power requirements continue to increase, the pressure on power supply integration grows in both directions at once: more watts must fit into less space, and thermal management must work reliably even where airflow cannot be guaranteed.
The Inission Power LPD300 addresses both constraints directly. Delivering up to 300 W in a compact 2.28" × 4.09" × 1.00" semi-potted package, it achieves a power density of 32.1 W/in³ while supporting three distinct cooling modes - forced air, conduction, and convection - giving system designers genuine flexibility in how thermal management is handled. The same unit works in ventilated enclosures, sealed chassis with baseplate heat extraction, and open convection environments, eliminating the need for separate power supply variants for each installation type.
Designed for Audio/Video, IT, Industrial, and Telecommunications Applications
The LPD300 series is suited for use across a range of power-demanding, space-constrained system environments, including:
- Wireless backhaul systems including mobile LTE-A and 5G infrastructure
- Desktop 3D scanners and printing systems
- LED signage and lighting systems
- Voice and data centre solutions
- Fibre optics telecommunications equipment
- Video and imaging systems

Three Cooling Modes in One Platform
The semi-potted baseplate package is the key design feature that distinguishes the LPD300 from conventional open-frame or enclosed power supplies. Rather than being optimised for a single thermal scenario, the LPD300 supports forced-air, conduction-cooled baseplate, and free-air convection operation within the same mechanical format.
This means the same unit can be specified across multiple system configurations within a product family, reducing qualification effort and simplifying procurement. In installations where heat must be extracted through a solid thermal path rather than airflow – such as sealed enclosures, wall-mounted industrial equipment, or compact embedded systems – the baseplate conducts heat directly into the chassis or a heatsink without requiring additional thermal interface components.
Combined with 94% efficiency and very low no-load consumption, the LPD300 minimises the thermal burden on the host system, supporting long-term reliability and compliance with current energy efficiency requirements.
